Don't Give Up Ministries /Yeshua's Temple is launching a new sewing ministry to help at-risk families and other individuals in our community. As the Lord is willing, it is our goal to teach sorting, cutting, and sewing fabric to make made-to-order patchwork quilts and other items, giving them the ability to earn income from the proceeds of the sale of those items. Eventually, they can be eligible to learn more advanced skills so that they will hopefully be able to work for themselves (in alterations, custom sewing, etc.) to in order to become economically self-sufficient with their own sewing businesses, if they so choose.
Basic patchwork quilts and tote bags we make are currently available in five color categories:
*Winter - (Black, White, Gray, and Powder Blue)
*Spring - (Pastels, Florals, and other Spring-like Colors)
*Summer - (Primary and Secondary Colors in the Color Wheel) - (shown here)
*Cool Summer - (Aquamarine, Teal, Navy Blue, Dark Purple, etc.)
*Fall - (Brown, Dark Red, Burnt Orange, Dark Yellow, Cream)
(Color change requests at additional charge)
Basic Quilts are initially available in Playmat/Throw Blanket size (approximately 50"x50")
Special Custom Quilts can be made using Cotton Shirts, Children's Clothing, Commemorative T-Shirts, and much more, Please contact us if you are interested in us making a custom quilt for yourself or someone you love.
Quilts can also be personalized with an embroidered name and/or a favorite Bible verse. For example:

We would appreciate any help you feel led by the Lord to give, including but not limited to:
*Spreading the word about this sewing ministry to your friends, relatives, and coworkers,
*Donating fabric (washed cotton and fleece preferred) and sewing supplies (sewing machines, thread, cutting mats and rotary cutters, irons and ironing boards, fabric scissors and snippers, batting, etc.),
*Buying a customized quilt, tote bag, or challah bread cover for yourself, someone you know, or to give to a family, daycare, or charity organization in need using the Contact Form below,
*Contributing financially to the sewing program (through cash, check, or PayPal), ...And most importantly of all...
*Praying for the success of this ministry and for the at-risk families and individuals we serve.
Items are available for purchase by donation, but due to the amount of work involved, the minimum donation amounts are:
Challah Bread Cover with "Shabbat Shalom" Embroidery - $20 (shown here)
Patchwork Tote Bag - $30
Reversible Patchwork or Rag Quilt (50"x50") - $40
Additional donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
